Life in Economy was not quite the same! However at least for one leg (the longest) I had a spare seatbeside me, which enabled me to grab a little sleep. Dubai Airport was a nightmare - all the good seats taken and at our Departure Gate the floor was full with a group is students, who were lying all over the ground. We thankfully managed to find a few seats together for the three hour layover.
On arriving in Paris, we queued for about an hour in Customs, then had another hour while they tried to fix the baggage carousel. The Scenic guide who met us at the airport with our driver was relieved (to say the least) when we finally made our way to the exit for the 60 min trip to the hotel - longer than normal due to the current train strike crippling the country a few days each week.
That will have to be it for this morning’s post. Jet lag means sleep was more important - and I’m struggling with the ipad blogging - hence the photo and text arrangement. Hopefully I’ll find some time to explore other options in the next few days. Paris post next!
